Shipping
How long delivery takes
It depends on which warehouse holds the item, and the window is stated on every product page before you buy:
- Stocked in the UK
- 3–7 working days from dispatch.
- Shipped from overseas
- 14–21 working days from dispatch.
Where a supplier gives us a more precise window for a particular item, we show their figure rather than the band above, and the product page says so. We never round a supplier's window down.
What is fixed in the meantime: under our Terms of Sale we deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed, as the Consumer Contracts Regulations require. If we cannot meet that, you can treat the contract as at an end and get a full refund.
We are a small operation and we don't hold stock in our own warehouse. Items ship directly from the supplier who makes or stocks them, which is what keeps prices at this level — and it is also why delivery takes longer than a large retailer shipping from a UK fulfilment centre. We would rather quote a window we can actually meet than promise next-day and miss it.
Once confirmed, the window shown on each product page will be the whole journey: supplier dispatch, transit, customs where relevant, and final delivery — not just the transit leg.
Dispatch
Orders are passed to the supplier within 1 to 3 business days. You will get a confirmation email when the goods are dispatched, and a tracking number as soon as the carrier provides one.
Where we deliver
Standard UK delivery is £7.99 per order on baskets below £100.00, and free on orders of £100.00 or more. Some products ship free whatever the basket is worth; those say so on the product page. One charge per order, whatever the basket weighs. The charge is shown in your basket and again at checkout before you pay.
Paying for your order
Pay securely by card or PayPal. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Delivery is charged separately and is shown before you confirm your order.
Import duty and taxes
Some items are dispatched from outside the United Kingdom. When that happens, import duty and import taxes may be charged on delivery, usually collected by the carrier before they hand the parcel over.
These charges are set and collected by customs authorities or the carrier — not by us. They are not included in the price you pay at checkout, and we cannot tell you the amount in advance because it depends on the item, its value, and the rules in force when it arrives. Where an item is known to ship from outside the UK we say so on the product page.
If your order is late
Estimates are estimates, and supplier and carrier delays happen. If your order is taking longer than you expected, email [email protected] with your order number and we will chase it and tell you what we find.
By law we must deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed unless we agreed something else with you. If we miss that, you can treat the contract as at an end and get a full refund. You do not have to wait for the goods to turn up.
Damaged in transit
Goods are our responsibility until they are delivered to you. If a parcel arrives damaged, email us with photographs and we will replace or refund it, and we pay any return postage. See Returns & Refunds.
